AN Enquiry by Design forum is to be held in Port Hedland over the last weekend in October to allow residents to share their vision for the town with Western Australia’s top planning experts.
The forum is an interactive one allowing the debate of ideas and is aimed at identifying and prioritising the key issues facing the town.
The focus of the day will be on the Port Hedland townsite, with connections to South Hedland, Wedgefield and Pretty Pool.
Specific issues will include residential and industrial land use in the town, the location of services, recreation, shopping precincts and other work opportunities.
Enquiry by Design workshops have previously been held in 13 regional and metropolitan areas including Armadale, Bassendean, Claremont, Esperance and Kalgoorlie.
