New tariff concessions

THE Federal Government’s AusIndustry has replaced the Project By-law Scheme, replacing it with the Enhanced Project By-law Scheme, which provides tariff duty concessions on eligible goods for significant projects of more than $10 million in the mining, resource processing, food processing, food packaging, manufacturing, agriculture and gas supply industry sectors.

Only goods that are not produced in Australia, or are technologically superior, are eligible for a concession. An application for exemption must be submitted to AusIndustry.
