New stadium taskforce announced

The Department of Sport and Recreation has appointed a new taskforce to review the state of the major football and cricket stadiums in Western Australia and develop a plan to serve the needs of the WA public over the next 15-20 years.The taskforce will be led by Chamber of Commerce and Industry chief executive officer John Langoulant and Department of Sport and Recreation director general Ron Alexander.Other members of the taskforce are:• LandCorp chairman Terry Budge;• Jones Coulter Young Architects and Urban Planners director Paul Jones;• City of Swan chief executive officer Eric Lumsden;• UWA executive director of finance and resources Gaye McMath; and• Former Longley Architects International principal Richard Longley.
