ACIL Consulting has appointed a senior consultant and manager for its new Perth office.
The new office will enable the company to better provide services to business and government, as well as to participate more actively in public policy developments and the continuing growth of the resources sector and other industries.
Ian Satchwell will oversee operations in WA and the Northern Territory.
“The challenge that I face is to establish business and reinforce the existing client base and gain new clients in WA and the Northern Territory,” Mr Satchwell said.
ACIL Consulting managing director David Trebeck stressed the importance enhancing the company’s presence in Perth: “which has become a key centre for decision making in oil and gas, other resources and agribusiness”.
“This is true not only from an Australian perspective, but also for Asia, where an increasing component of ACIL’s consulting activity is directed,” Mr Trebeck said.
“Structural reforms in WA in electricity and gas, in transport, and prospectively in water, are also of central interest to ACIL.”
Mr Satchwell has held senor positions in four minerals and energy industry bodies, including the Tasmanian Minerals Council, Electricity Supply Association of Australia and the Minerals Council of Australia.
Most recently he was CEO of The Chamber of Minerals and Energy of WA.
ACIL Consulting provides professional advice and analysis in economics, policy and strategy.
