New man at JB Were

BRAD Gale is the new State manager of Western Australia’s seventh largest stockbroking firm, JBWere.

Mr Gale took up the firm’s top WA position on January 1, replacing Ron Bennetts, who will act as his deputy.

A former Perth boy, he spent the past few years in JBWere’s Melbourne office working for the firm’s retail managing director David Evans.

Mr Bennetts was the firm’s State manager for seven years and will now be concentrating on the firm’s private client arm.

Mr Gale said he had no immediate changes planned for the firm’s WA office.

“Ron’s done a pretty good job. I will continue to drive our investment advisory business and look to grow it,” he said.

“I think the number of advisers we have is good and there is not much need to grow that.”

“Ron will focus more on servicing his current clients and less on administration.”
