New insolvency firm planned

TWO of Perth’s leading insolvency lawyers will shortly be leaving their existing firms to establish a new practice.

Tottle Christensen partner Lee Christensen and Deacons partner John Vaughan are believed to be planning a fresh start in mid August.

Mr Christensen was ranked by his industry peers as Western Australia’s top insolvency lawyer in WA Business News 2003 Legal Elite survey and Mr Vaughan was one of the runners-up.

Neither was able to comment on their future plans.

In other legal news, Wesfarmers is looking for a new chief legal counsel to replace Francis Landels who is retiring after more than 20 years with the company.
