A NEW consumer guide to be launched and distributed in Perth next year hopes to challenge Sensis as an information resource. The Top 5, a product of the Top 5 Business Guide Pty Ltd, will feature the top five businesses in seven categories and 180 sub-categories, and is divided into northern and southern suburb editions. The guide will be available in hard copy and online. Advertisers can log on to the website and edit their listing, track sales and amend their market-ing strategies. More than 600,000 copies of the Top 5 Guide will be distributed to metropolitan households and the launch will be backed by outdoor and television advertising campaigns, starting in December. Top 5 Guide general manager Chris Bartlett said the company had been working on the guide since January. “It is a high quality guide which will be used as a first point of reference, and people will be given the details of only the top choices,” he told WA Business News. The company hopes to expand to the eastern states in the second quarter of 2006.
