Wrays Lawyers founding managing director David Stewart has been appointed principal of Williams + Hughes’ new IP law practice. Mr Stewart, who left Wrays earlier this year, has brought with him from Wrays senior associate Catherine Toal and trademark paralegal Kiran Singh. After founding Wrays Lawyers in 2009, a law firm established by patent attorneys Wrays, Mr Stewart served as managing director of the firm for two years. Mr Stewart has 22 years’ experience in the field of IP law, with particular expertise in the defence sector. Ms Toal had been with Wrays since joining as a graduate in 2011. She focuses on media law in relations to publication, licensing and services agreements.
