New Chair for WAFIC

Kim Chance has been elected to chair the Western Australian Fishing Industry Council (WAFIC), replacing Arno Verboon.

Mr Chance is a former State Government Minister for Fisheries, Agriculture and Food, Forestry, the Mid West and Wheatbelt, and Great Southern, under the Labor governments of Geoff Gallop and Alan Carpenter.

In addition, three director positions also up for election saw George Kailis and Bruce Cockman re-elected for another term and Abalone Industry Association executive officer Nathan Adams replace retiring director Kerry Rowe.
