NeuroDiscovery enters first agreement

RECENTLY-LISTED biotechnology company NeuroDiscovery has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, NeuroSolutions, has entered into a collaborative agreement with Epichem, a subsidiary of fellow local biotech company, PharmAust. The agreement, for cooperation in developing one of NeuroSolution’s lead pain drug candidates, is Neuro-Discovery’s first agreement since listing on the Australian Stock Exchange a week earlier, raising $1.5 million. Epichem’s synthetic and medicinal chemistry expertise will be applied in the identification and production of potential drug candidates, according to NeuroDiscovery. Following identification, NeuroSolutions will apply its know-how and technology to validate the compounds, which may progress through pre-clinical and subsequently clinical development.
