Neptune Marine wins repeat military business

PERTH-based Neptune Marine Services has recently secured its second military repair contract for the use of its dry underwater welding technology. The contract follows successful completion of the first project carried out at the Garden Island Naval Base in November 2004. The deal involves repair to an Australian Navy vessel and although the project is only expected to take one week to complete, the company sees it as an important next step in plans to penetrate military markets for the technology globally. Neptune’s Australian patent on its technology was also accepted earlier this month.
