National makes number one

INDEPENDENT research house ASSIRT found National Australia Bank has consolidated its position in the funds management industry, receiving the number one ranking in terms of net inflows for the March 2000 quarter.

NAB chief executive and managing director Frank Cicutto said the ranking confirmed the success of the bank’s approach in its aim to be a leader in funds management.

“Our current performance, coupled with benefits and synergies of the MLC acquisition, means that we are well-positioned to be a formidable force in the global marketplace,” Mr Cicutto said.
