NRW wins $40m job at gold mine

Perth-based NRW Holdings has won a $40 million contract to provide its services to Macmahon Holdings, which is operating at Newcrest Mining’s Telfer gold mine in the Pilbara.

In a brief statement today, NRW said its Action Drill & Blast subsidiary would provide drilling and blasting services to Macmahon at Telfer, with work to be carried out over five and a half years.

“Having proven to be very successful in other commodities it is pleasing to see Action establish itself further in the gold sector,” NRW managing director Jules Pemberton said.

It follows news yesterday that NRW would receive a $110 million contract for mining services work if Altura Mining moves ahead with plans to develop its Pilgangoora lithium project.

NRW shares were 8.4 per cent higher to 83 cents each at 10:30am.
