NRW boosts order book by $170m

Perth-based NRW Holdings has secured further work in Queensland under civil construction and mining contracts totalling $170 million.

The work was awarded to NRW’s wholly owned subsidiary, Golding Contractors.

NRW said Golding had been contracted by Lendlease Group to complete general subdivision and associated infrastructure works at the Yarrabilba residential development in Logan under a new, $50 million agreement.

It builds on a separate contract awarded to Golding in October 2017 for work on the development’s 3B precinct, which is scheduled to complete in May.

Works under the new contract will begin next month and are scheduled to complete in April 2024.

Meanwhile, Golding has received a one-year contract extension valued at $120 million from Wonbindi Coal for works at the Baralaba North mine, where it has provided mining services since 2018. 

Golding's contract has been extended until June next year.

NRW acquired the business for $85 million in 2017 and more recently completed its compulsory takeover of local contractor Primero Group.

That deal, announced by NRW in November last year, was valued at about $100 million.

Shares in the group were trading at $2.05 each, as at 1:24pm AEDT.
