The West Australian Ballet was founded in 1953 and is the oldest ballet company in Australia. The company produces a diverse repertoire of classical ballet and contemporary ballet and dance, developed by its artistic directors and invited Australian and international choreographers. Based in Perth and resident at His Majesty’s Theatre, the company offers an extensive program of dance throughout the year, with three to four major seasons in Perth, regional touring throughout Western Australia, choreographic workshops, a series of free public performances, an extensive education program and other activities.
