The McCusker Foundation was established in 2000. It is an incorporated charitable organisation whose major roles are to raise funds and promote research into effective treatments for Alzheimer’s disease. It takes its name from the McCusker family, who have been major supporters of Alzheimer’s research over many years, and is funded solely from private donations with support from the McCusker family, Hollywood Private Hospital & Edith Cowan UniversityThe McCusker Foundation supports the internationally recognised research of Professor Ralph Martins and his team at the Sir James McCusker Alzheimer’s Disease Research Laboratory. This Perth-based team are currently at the forefront of international research to discover a cure for Alzheimer’s disease.
