The Western Australian Soccer Association was formed from the six State organisations that represented soccer in WA. These were Soccer Administration of WA, Junior Soccer Association of WA, WA Amateur & Social Soccer Association, Soccer West Coast, WA Women’s Soccer Association and Soccer Australia Referees (WA).

Paul Kelly, WA State manager for business development with Member’s Equity Bank and a former professional soccer player.
Jane King, former vice-president of Women’s Soccer WA.
Marcello Cardaci, a partner at Blakiston & Crabb.
Linda Wayman, general manager of Austereo in Perth.
The unification of the six bodies governing WA soccer was called for in the Crawford Report that looked at the structure, governance and management of soccer in Australia. More than 26,000 people play soccer in WA and it is hoped that the unification will help grow the sport further in the State.
