Senses Foundation is an organisation which has its origins over 100 years ago as the Royal WA Institute for the Blind. As that organisation it provided schooling, employment and accommodation to people who were blind.

The Senses Foundation was formed in 2001 as the amalgamation of the WA Deafblind Association and the Royal WA Institute for the Blind.
Senses’ mission is to be the primary service provider and advocate for people who are deafblind and the primary service provider and advocate for people who have a vision impairment and also have another significant disability.
