NFP Boards - Australian Red Cross

The mission of the Australian Red Cross is to improve the lives of vulnerable people by mobilising the power of humanity, both in Australia and overseas. Since 1914 the Australian Red Cross has been responding to the needs of Australians in suburbs and towns right across the country. Ian Anson, chairman Betty Smith-Gander, deputy chairman Ross Watson, honorary treasurer Peter Head, first vice president Henry Adie-Cooper Ian Allen Peter Baughan David Kennett Kevin Poynton Sue Smith Margaret Watson Margaret Vallentine Simon Cubitt (co-opted member) Red Cross WA has around 7,000 volunteers and members who provide over 25 vital services to local people most in need. Services range from respite care for children with special needs, assistance to families coping with multiple births or postnatal depression; to the mobile soup patrol service, which provides a hot evening meal to homeless and disadvantaged people.
