NFP Board - Kwinana Community Arts Centre Inc

Board of directors: Carol Adams – chairperson, Lynne Woofenden – deputy chairperson, Graham Francis – treasurer, Mike Winchester – secretary. Members: Dr Sharlene Andrijich, Jayne Edwards, Val Fischer, Merv Kearney, Robin Phillips, Diana Wardle. The Kwinana Community Arts Centre is under the management of a new board of directors, and in partnership with the Town of Kwinana, hope to re-brand and reinvigorate the centre. Built in 1990 at a cost of $2.5 million, the centre houses Western Australia’s largest sprung dance floor and an outdoor amphitheatre. The centre has evolved into a cinema, performing arts centre, meeting place for community groups, religious worship and a multi-functional venue for hire. Establishing an online booking and seat selection service, 24/7 day trading times, finding a major corporate sponsor, and launching a ratepayer targeted re-naming campaign are just some of the projects the new management team are working on.
