Munali nickel project delivers

WEST Perth-based Albidon Limited has delivered the first concentrate at its fully-owned Munali Nickel Project, 60 kilometres south of the Zambian capital Lusaka. The first nickel concentrate was processed and delivered to a storage shed on schedule as the company envisaged when the project was approved for development in September 2006. Albidon is stockpiling the Ni/Cu/Co/PMG concentrate ahead of collection for smelting by Jinchuan Group and is now focusing on increasing concentrate production to full capacity by the beginning of 2009. The company said the focus at Munali was to build up to full production of 1.2 million tonnes per annum from the Enterprise Mine to generate up to 10,500tpa of nickel.
