On Friday, Mount Gibson evacuated more than 200 employees off Koolan Island after the weather bureau issued a cyclone warning.
However, later that day, the cyclone crossed the Kimberley coast near Kuiri Bay and tracked south, weakening as it passed over Koolan Island.

"Mount Gibson commenced re-mobilising 228 employees to Koolan Island over the weekend, with full re-mobilisation to be completed today."
"Mine production will be at full capacity once all employees have returned to site."
