Motorola deal

Wavenet International Ltd has signed a long-term agreement with Motorola’s Commercial, Government and Industrial Solutions Sector (CGISS).

Under the agreement, Wavenet will develop, manufacture and supply OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) modems and wireless attachments for Palm handheld computers for use on Motorola Private DataTAC(R) radio communication networks.

The products will be Motorola branded and exclusively distributed globally by Motorola’s global CGISS sales force.

Motorola CGISS designs, sells and deploys Private DataTAC networks and solutions throughout the world.

Wavenet said the agreement meant the company could effectively increase its potential customer base by a factor of 50 and would offer major revenue streams in the future.
