The state government has released an additional 13 residential lots at Perry Lakes, after a successful land auction in December.
Planning Minister John Day said the lots ranged in size from 327 square metres to 529sqm.
"More than 300 people attended the Perry Lakes auction last December where 13 lots were sold on the drop of the hammer and a further three sold in the same week," he said.
"The state government has made a significant investment in the historic former 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games site which has been transformed into a sought-after residential estate."
Mr Day said key milestones for 2011 at Perry Lakes would be the commencement of stage 2 construction works and the removal of the grandstand.
"Sustainability measures have been an important outcome of the project, including recycling of the stadium's disused wooden seating into an attractive boardwalk, reuse of basketball court flooring, restoration of the lake's edge and removal of weeds and planting more than 55,000 native plants," Mr Day said.
