WEST Perth-based miner, Monarch Gold Mining Company Ltd, has provided $350,000 towards a community housing project in Kalgoorlie. The company, chaired by Michael Kiernan, will contribute $250,000 up front, plus an additional $100,000 each financial year for the redevelopment, which will provide low-cost housing for community services workers in the Goldfields. The project, called commAccom, is being managed by local charity LMS Ministries, and will restore about 15 properties in Kalgoorlie for use by chaplains, counsellors and community workers.
