Monadelphous wins $120m contracts pipeline

Engineering firm Monadelphous Group has secured a pipeline of contracts valued at $120 million from Rio Tinto, BHP and South32.

Perth-based Monadelphous secured two contracts with Rio Tinto to upgrade the mining giant’s conveyor gravity uptake systems at Tom Price and Cape Lambert port in the Pilbara.

BHP awarded Monadelphous a three-year framework agreement to provide multidisciplinary works at its iron ore asset projects in the Pilbara.

The ASX-listed contractor also secured a 12-month contract extension from South32 for the supply of major shutdown and mechanical services at the miners’ Worsley Alumina operations in the South West.

Across the country, Monadelphous won a contract to provide shutdown, maintenance services and minor capital projects at BHP Mitsubishi Alliances’ dragline and coal preparation plants in Queensland.

On the ASX, Monadelphous shares were trading up 1.42 per cent to $12.12 at 1.15PM AEST.
