Monadelphous in $150m gas plant win

Engineering and construction group Monadelphous has won a $150 million maintenance contract with Woodside at its Karratha gas plant.

Monadelphous announced today it would undertake maintenance and shutdown services at the plant, commencing January 1 next year.

The Karratha gas plant comprises five LNG processing trains, two domestic gas trains, six condensate stabilisation units, three LPG fractionation units and storage and loading facilities for LNG, LPG and condensate.

“The award of this contract represents a significant milestone in our development as a leading maintenance services provider in the rapidly growing LNG market,” managing director Rob Velletri said.

“We are pleased to build on our long-term relationship with Woodside and to be selected as a maintenance provider for the world class Karratha gas plant.”

At close of trade today, Monadelphous’ stock was up 2 per cent, trading at $21.10.
