Mix 94.5 in top position

WITH an overall market share of 17.7 per cent in Nielsen Media Research’s radio survey number five, Mix 94.5 can still lay claim to being the top ranking radio station in Perth. The FM broadcaster’s overall audience share gained 2.4 per cent from survey number four. Mix 94.5 retained the number one position ahead of 96fm and Nova 93.7 with 13.1 per cent and 11.2 per cent respectively, in the Monday to Sunday 5.30am to midnight category, followed by ABC720 on 11 per cent and 6PR on 10.3 per cent. Mix’s increase in audience share was as a result of its 18 to 24 and 40 to 54 age brackets, which were up 5.7 per cent and 4.5 per cent respectively. In the over 55 age group, both ABC720 and 6PR are ahead of the pack on 23.6 per cent and 22.6 per cent respectively. 92.9 is still the station of choice for 10 to 17 year olds, scoring 30.3 per cent, while Nova scored 31.1 per cent in the 18 to 24 age bracket. By session, Mix 94.5 had the greatest share of the weekday audience with 17.9 per cent, followed by 96fm on 13.8 per cent.
