Perth-based Mirabela Nickel announced today the appointment of Geoff Handley as non-executive chairman and the resignation of Craig Burton and Bill Clough, completing its board renewal process.
Mr Handley has worked as a geologist for BHP Exploration and Placer Exploration, an analyst for AMP Society, executive vice president strategic development for Placer Pacific, and is currently a non-executive director for Eldorado Gold Corp, PanAust and Endeavour Silver Corp.
He joined the Mirabela board in January 2011.
Outgoing chairman Mr Burton said the process of board removal renewal commenced twelve months ago and he was happy to leave Mirabel in the hands of a strong board and management team.
Managing director and CEO Ian Purdy thanked Mr Burton and said his commitment and support had been instrumental in the successful delivery of the Santa Rita project.
“I look forward to working closely with Geoff as we deliver a world class nickel production company,” he said.
