A Perth company is the driving force behind the first truly global mining and construction recruitment company.
An alliance has been formed from six major specialist human resources recruitment
consultancies with nine operational bases on four continents.
The alliance brings together Perth-based Downing Teal, PRS Select-ion in the UK, CJ Stafford and Associates of Canada, US-based Jackson Group International, Bryan Kaschula Associates and Construction Executive Consultants from South Africa.
After eighteen months of negotiation, the agreement, spearheaded by Downing Teal principal John Downing, was concluded in Perth.
A spokesman for the group said more than forty consultants will draw on the global market to provide recruitment services from top-level executive search to complete
project recruitment.
He said the alliance had been formed in response to the increasingly international orientation of the mining, engineering and construction industries and the desire for a specialised and comprehensive global recruitment service.
Mr Downing said the alliance had been formed to take advantage of the inevitable upswing in the resources industry worldwide.
“We’ve been planning it during the downturn over the past eighteen months and, as the world’s biggest specialist mining and construction recruiter, will be the dominant force in that sector,” Mr Downing said.
