Darkest Winter has made it into the Jim Murray Whisky Bible 2018.

Internationally renowned whisky reviewer Jim Murray has labelled Limeburners’ Darkest Winter whisky the best drop in the Southern Hemisphere.

Albany-based Limeburners made the shortlist out of about 4,600 whiskies from around the world, with Darkest Winter to be featured in the Jim Murray Whisky Bible 2018; its 15th annual edition.

“This is a phenomenal result,” Limeburners founder Cameron Syme said.

“To have the most influential whisky publication in the world name us as the best whisky in the Southern Hemisphere is simply mind-blowing.

“Limeburners’ Darkest Winter has again been acknowledged as one of the world’s truly iconic whiskies.”

The accolade is Darkest Winter’s third international award this year, after having recently been named best international craft whisky in the world by the American Distillers Institute.
