Millepede International signs major US supply agreement

LOCAL fastening-tie company Millepede International’s United States subsidiary Millepede USA has signed a national supply agreement with Anixter, a large international data communications distributor. Anixter will stock the core range of Millepede’s Mille-Tie in regional depots across the US, serving more than 85,000 customers. The deal was negotiated by SalMar Global, which was appointed by Millepede in December 2004 to manage sales and marketing operations in the US and Mexico. The contract is the first major breakthrough in US sales, and is the result of endorsements already in place with American telecommunications companies AT&T and BellSouth.
