PERTH’S newest micro brewing company, Gage Roads Brewing Co, has unveiled the image that will adorn its range of beers, which is expected to hit retail shelves later this year.
Gage Roads Brewing Co was established by former award-wining Sail and Anchor brewers Peter Nolin and Bill Hoedemaker, and Mr Hoedemaker’s brother, John.
The trio embarked on the venture in 2003 and has raised $2.5 million in private investment to build the brewery to produce what Mr Nolin calls “world-class Australian beer”.
Mr Nolin and Mr Hoedemaker will begin test brews in the next fortnight.
Mr Nolin anticipates the first bottles of Gage Roads Brewing Co beer will be ready for sale in March.
“We’re going to roll out to a small family of three beers by the end of the year,” he said.
Sales of the beer will be handled in-house and Mr Nolin expects the brewery to be producing 500 litres of beer in its first production year.
