Michelle Carden

MICHELLE Carden says her purpose is to inspire others by having a positive impact on their lives. Aspire, the company she co-founded with partner Craig Turnbull in 2003, is a wealth partner for people who are passionate about financial freedom. Aspire empowers its clients through innovative financial services and world-class coaching. In less than three years, Ms Carden has been instrumental in the growth of the company to its current position as one of Australia’s fastest growing financial services organisations, increasing turnover by 360 per cent in three years. This was achieved through services such as mortgage booking, insurance, wealth planning, property find, property management and wealth education. Ms Carden began her career with oil giant Shell, working in customer service while completing a bachelor of business degree in management. She continued working with Shell in human resources but took the opportunity of a transfer to London to see more of the world. Returning to Australia in 2002, Ms Carden set up her own HR consult-ing business, providing HR advice and services to blue-chip companies. Aspire started out three years ago in a spare bedroom of her home, with Ms Carden working 70-hour weeks. After a significant early setback, she re-evaluated Aspire’s culture and team building initiatives and transformed the business into a “buzzing” organisation. In 2003, she co-founded the Masters of Wealth events, bringing Australia’s leading health, wealth, and business experts together to form a multi-speaker event. She also has global expansion plans for her international ‘wealth coaching franchise’ model.
