Chris Hall has over 35 years' experience in the aged care sector.

MercyCare chief executive Chris Hall will leave the aged care organisation to take up the corresponding role at Juniper where he will continue to deliver community support services.

Mr Hall has led MercyCare since 2010 and will succeed retiring Juniper chief executive, Vaughan Harding.

Also a director on the State Training Board, Mr Hall will take up his new position in August this year.

Mr Hall will make a step up in terms of the number of beds under present under his leadership, with Juniper ranked second on the BNiQ Aged Care Providers list and MercyCare ranked 13th.

Juniper board chair Fred Boshart welcomed Mr Hall’s appointment and paid tribute to retiring chief executive Vaughan Harding for his service to the organisation, which has spanned almost three decades.

Mr Boshart said Mr Hall was well placed to take on this role given his wide-ranging experience and governance and leadership acumen accrued over 35 years in aged care, local government, health, community services, mental health, and disability sectors.

He has served on numerous advisory and consultative bodies and committees to federal, state and local governments and on the boards of various not-for-profit organisations

“Following an extensive national search, Juniper has appointed a highly qualified, capable and dynamic individual to lead our organisation,” Mr Boshart said.

Juniper was looking forward to working with Mr Hall and to help the organisation realise its strategy to double its capacity to meet demand for services, he said.

It has allocated more than $150 million towards current and planned residential aged care and retirement living projects in Gosnells, Karrinyup, Menora, Katanning, Wanneroo, Albany and Kununurra.
