The WA Pork Producers’ Association is on the lookout for an executive officer, following the retirement of Lea Newing.
The ability to involve processors, retailers and consumers is essential, and experience with a primary industry organisation or business preferred.
The association is looking for someone who can quickly analyse opportunities and threats likely to impact on WA’s 300 pork producers, WAPPA president Ken Boughton says.
An ability to consolidate industry linkages - particularly at a State level - is important, with supply chain management and alliances playing increasingly important roles in the industry.
Further information on the association is available from www.wappa.com.au and from (08) 9479 7315.
Applications close May 9.
