National group McGees Property has been awarded a $5.5 million state government contract to provide leasing services for the Department of Transport.

Under the contract, McGees will provide leasehold property management, leasing and facility management services for the department’s south metropolitan coastal facilities, including the Barrack Square jetty and the marine operations centre in Fremantle.

McGees will also offer leasehold property managing services for the department’s 19 regional coastal facilities.

Five other companies submitted tenders for the department of transport contract.

Established in 1989, McGees has offices across Australia and offers a range of property services.

The company is currently providing leasing services to the state government for retail space at the Perth Cultural Centre.
