Metallurgist Royce McAuslane has been appointed managing director of mineral explorer RNI, while chairman Miles Kennedy will move to a non-executive role effective immediately.
Mr McAuslane has been a consultant at RNI for just more than a year, and was appointed development manager in July.
He has 17 years’ experience in the industry.
Mr Kennedy, who has held directorships in resources companies for three decades, was executive chairman of Kimberley Diamonds during the sale of the Ellendale diamond mine to UK-based Gem Diamond in 2007 for $300 million.
Earlier this year, RNI found strong drilling results in the Grosvenor copper-gold project in Western Australia’s Bryah Basin.
RNI was up 13.8 per cent to 9.1 cents per share at the close.
