Markets fall to two-year lows

THE Australian share market dropped to the lowest level in more than two and a half years as the fallout from US financial market turmoil continued. At the close, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was down 66.9 points, or 1.39 per cent at 4750.8, its lowest mark since December 27, 2005. The broader All Ordinaries lost 75.2 points, or 1.54 per cent to 4799.8, its lowest mark since February 20, 2006
