The Institute for International Research will hold a Marginal Field Development Summit 2004 over Monday December 6 to Wednesday December 8 at the Mercure Hotel.
Keynote speakers at the event include Minister for State Development the Hon Clive Brown MLA, Arc Energy development manager Marie Malaxos, KPMG Oil and Gas Centre of Excellence KPMG taxation Perth senior manager Nathan O’Connor, ABARE deputy executive director Vivek Tulpule, Oil Search Limited subsurface manager Mark Wilson, Impact Drilling International technical manager Malcolm McInnes, Origin Energy manager geoscience WA Jack Buswell and DB Developments (WA) Pty Ltd director David Bradley.
The conference is aimed at petroleum producers, commercial managers, exploration and production managers, development managers, geoscientists, investment bankers, State and Federal policy makers, equipment and technology providers and industry consultants.
Topics to be examined over the course of the conference include policy directives to encourage marginal field development, future global demand growth effecting marginal field development, best practice local and international case studies, creating value in marginal fields through flexibility, capitalising on deepwater exploration incentives, effective risk management for marginal fields, facilitating marginal field development and developing and implementing the latest fixed and floating platform solutions.
