Blake Dawson Waldron is running a half-day workshop titled Managing Contractor and Labour Hire Safety on Friday May 14 at their offices at Level 19, 221 St Georges Terrace, Perth.
The workshop has been structured to provide organisations who employ contractors or employees sourced from labour hire companies, with practical advice and information about managing safety incidents involving these contractors or employees and the risk of prosecution for breach of safety legislation.
At the end of the workshop participants will be able to identify areas of risk in relation to their workplace; be familiar with legal steps that can be taken to manage safety issues; be aware of practical ways to manage safety on site; and understand how to review their own practices and procedures.
Topics that will be covered during the workshop include, rights and responsibilities of the principal, the contractor and the labour hire company; safety issues when selecting a contractor or labour hire company; induction issues; what happens when a safety incident occurs involving a contractor or labour hire worker; and who has the final say if a dispute arises about a safety issue.
Registration for the workshop can be made with Blake Dawson Waldron for $550 per person, for further information or to register phone Fiona Pryor on 1800 236 000.
