WELSHPOOL-BASED contracting group Macmahon Holdings Ltd has signed $180 million worth of new rail and civil construction contracts, taking its order book to the record level of $1.8 billion. CEO Nick Bowen said that, since January, Macmahon had won more than $370 million of new contracts, taking its order book to a new record level of $1.8 billion. These contracts include: • Stirling Dam Upgrade Stage 2 – located near Harvey, the Water Corporation dam is being upgraded in a project that will refurbish the dam wall and spillway; • Boddington gold mine concrete works – located south-east of Perth, the contract will involve the construction of concrete foundations for the process plant as part of the new open-cut mine; and • Blacktip – this contract for Eni Australia at the Blacktip Gas Project in the Northern Territory involves the construction of roads and other plant facilities.
