Macmahon Holdings will continue work at Black Cat Syndicate’s Majestic mining centre, after receiving a 12-month extension for an undisclosed amount.
Under its previous works, the Michael Finnegan-led contractor facilitated the implementation of Majestic’s underground portal, along with overseeing the initial delivery of ore to Lakewood Mill.
Over the next year, Macmahon will continue to a series of underground development, mining support and production activities at Majestic, which is part of Black Cat’s Kal East gold operation.
The original $55 million contract was announced last August.
“Macmahon welcomes the extension for an additional 12-month period of our highly successful partnership with Black Cat Syndicate at the Majestic mine,” Mr Finnegan said.
“I congratulate the underground team and look forward to further delivering strong returns to our valued client.”
During the March 2026 quarter, Black Cat produced 16,842 ounces of gold at Kal East, with 11,553oz yielded from third party ore. Inaugural Black Cat ore from Majestic began to be processed from March 28.
