A range of people and organisations with interests in the state's mining industry will make presentations to the Senate Committee considering the mining tax, which is visiting Perth on Monday.
Western Australian Senator Mathias Cormann is chairing the committee which was established on September 30.
Andrew Forrest's Fortescue Metals Group will be the first company to make a presentation to the committee.
Mr Forrest, along with four other representatives from the company, including Deidre Willmott, are listed to speak to the committee.
The committee will also be addressed by the Association of Mining and Exploration Companies, DomGas Alliance, the Chamber of Minerals and Energy, the Department of Treasury and Finance, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Magnetite Network and Buru Energy.
The committee's terms of reference include considering the minerals resource rent tax and expanded petroleum resource rent tax, a carbon tax, or any other mechanism to put a price on carbon, and any other new taxes proposed by government, including significant changes to existing tax arrangements.
The committee is required to report by November 30.
