MMA Offshore will deploy its platform supply vessel MMA Leeuwin to provide drilling support services for OMV New Zealand in the Taranaki Basin.
The Welshpool-based company said the contract value is expected to be between $10 to $11 million, including the vessel mobilisation to and from Western Australia and firm operational days on site in New Zealand.
The contract, to start in late September, is for a firm period of 200 days with additional option periods of a combined 150 days.

MMA Offshore deployed MMA Vision to OMV New Zealand's Maari and Maui gas fields in the Taranaki Basin in June last year.
The three-year contract includes two one-year extension options.
OMV New Zealand operates three mining permits in Taranaki and holds interests in three offshore exploration permits in the Taranaki Basin.
MMA Offshore also announced last month it would buy subsea solutions company Subcon International for $8.4 million.
The transaction was expected to be completed this month.
