MJB&B forges hi-tech agency link

MJB&B Advertising and Market-ing Group and Internet advertising specialists Elink Media Limited have created what they claim to be Australia’s first full-service online and offline marketing, advertising and communications agency.

MJB&B managing director Brian Bowley said a business association with Elink emerged following MJB&B’s successful move this year to establish Livewire online.

Mr Bowley said the alliance complemented MJB&B’s current focus on Internet marketing services.

MJB&B will use Elink’s smart profiling technology process, called ‘e-fingerprinting’, to target Internet advertising and marketing to online consumers.

Elink CEO David Bunney said the technology could identify and profile the specific interests of web users, allowing unprecedented levels of precision in one-to-one targeting to online consumers.

“With the online advertising market estimated to quadruple this year to $160 million, it is critical that clients who advertise on the Internet actually reach their target audience,” Mr Bunney said.

Under the alliance, Elink Media Limited will take a 40 per cent equity share of Control Com Pty Ltd, currently trading as the MJB&B Group, subject to Elink listing on the Australian stock exchange later this year.

MJB&B Group principals Brian Bowley and Craig Billings will retain controlling interest in the group, with Mr Bunney joining its board of directors.
