THE Australian Securities and Investments Commission has released a policy proposal paper on managed discretionary account services. ASIC says it is reviewing its policy relating to the regulation of MDA services to take account of a range of industry developments and recent legislative change.
ASIC proposes to exempt MDA operators from the management investment and financial product disclosure provisions in the Corporations Act if they meet certain conditions.
