The Karaoke World Idol Competition is being held at the Moon and Sixpence Woodvale British Pub for 10 weeks, starting Tuesday March 8.
On offer will be a trip to Finland, as well as curry and Carlsberg for willing warblers.
Vidette Wood, functions manager at the popular venue, which sold more Kilkenny Draught in 2003-2004 than anywhere else on the planet, is hoping to eclipse this record as St Patrick’s Day preparations begin. This year the pub is hoping to add the WA Guinness sales champion to its collection of accolades.
The City Food and Wine festival will be held throughout March.
A plethora of CBD and Northbridge restaurants and cafes will offer discounted meals across locations in Northbridge, West Perth and East Perth.
Cooking master classes, special menus, tasting events and food demonstrations will be held throughout inner-city venues in what’s expected to be a feast of local gastronomy.
Included in the itinerary is a Slow Food Feast presented by Kate Lamont, to be held at Lamont’s on the Cove on Sunday March 20.
