Loose Box cleans up again

THE LOOSE Box Restaurant in Mundaring has once again swept up WA’s foremost culinary award.

The restaurant won the Best Restaurant in WA for 2000 category at the recent fifteenth Annual WA American Express Restaurant Awards – the second successive year it has won the category.

The Loose Box beat competition from Altos, Matilda Bay Restaurant and Mead’s in Mosman Park.

Once again, it is one of six finalists in the National American Express Restaurant Awards vying for the title of Best Restaurant in Australia.

The title will be decided by six randomly chosen American Express cardmembers and their partners, who will have the enviable task of dining at each of the six finalist restaurants around the country.

The winner of Most Popular WA Hall of Fame Restaurant for 2000 will also be announced at the national awards.

l Best Restaurant (Perth region) – The Loose Box Restaurant

l Best Restaurant (Fremantle) – The Red Herring

l Best Restaurant (country) – Driftwood Estate Restaurant

l Best Restaurant in a Five-Star/International Hotel – Windows Restaurant, Burswood Resort Hotel

l Best Restaurant in a Hotel or Tavern – Subiaco Hotel

l Hall of Fame 2000/2001/2002

– Thai Corner Restaurant

l Hall of Fame 1999/2000/2001
