The Committee for Economic Development in Australia (CEDA) is hosting a luncheon focusing on the role of mineral resources in WA’s future, August 1 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Sam Walsh, chief executive of Rio Tinto Iron Ore will speak on what’s over the horizon for the WA resources industry. Being the leader of one of the state’s largest businesses, Mr Walsh will provide a unique mining perspective on some of the themes recently articulated by the state government including planning for the future, making decisions to make things happen now and working in partnerships for the benefit of everyone, whether it is business and government, business and the community or any other relationship.
